My first photoshoot after posting an ad on a Facebook group.
Finally, working with a model who isn’t my friend or another acquaintance. It was a great experience, I learnt a lot of important things for future photoshoots.
The goal of that photoshoot was to replicate some scenes of Wong Kar Wai’s Fallen Angels, so I brought my 10mm fisheye lens. However we eventually realized that the environment wasn’t quite right, so we decided to improvise instead.
This shoot also gave me the chance to test the 10mm fisheye for portraits. I was unsure how such a wide lens would work for portraits, especially since the only reference I had for such a wide focal length was Wong Kar Wai's Fallen Angels. But to my surprise, it actually worked quite well.
One lesson I learned the hard way: the shoot went on too long, resulting in way too many photos to edit. The culling and editing process became a nightmare, which is why I now limit my shoots to just one hour.
